That is correct folks, Nintendo are shutting all of the Wii DS servers down.
All of our favourite games, CoD's all of them, Pokémon on DS, Mario Kart Wii ect ect.

We only have until May 20th 2014 to enjoy these old games as they were meant to be enjoyed.
But to lose the fun aspect of playing other people online is a big loss.

I have had so much fun on all my old Online Wii games & so many Wii friends I will miss playing with.

I have spent so much money on Nintendo Wii over the years I feel now I have wasted a lot of money.
So Nintendo want me to defect to another console & I shall be doing just that in 4/5 months from now.

I will still play WiiU BOps2 Zombies though, as I am completely addicted to playing it every day.

Goodbye Nintendo Wii online services we were loyal but that doesn't matter to Ninty.

For the last 3 years or so, a lot of me and my dad's quality fun time has been spent playing W@W. I don't even know what to think or what to move onto. W@W has been a big part of my life and has given me so many moments and memories. I can't say how much I am gonna miss playing this game online...

Will campaign still be able to be played?

Yeah dad2, you will still be able to play the Campaign, it's just the Online services that are getting the chop.
I have gone through 3 Wii's so I had 3 profiles of W@W that are all gone now anyway.
We should have a bash next weekend just to say goodbye to it online.

Then you & your Dad should buy a WiiU & BOps2, Zombie's freaking rocks in survival mode you will love it.

Woah, this is pretty shocking and sad news! I wish I had a Wii to give it one more go for the old times haha, but unfortunately I don't.
It's strange to think that in a few years time I'll remember all the times I had on the Wii online and realize I can't ever enjoy that again.

However you'll be surprised at what comes out (hopefully legal somehow) on the internet. There's probably someone out there who'll be able to replicate the servers and have them run on a PC.
