I have to ask, I have been contemplating buying the Wii-U for a long time now, considering it is backwards compatible and the game line-up is actually looking quite promising, so is it really worth buying one considering the main reason I want it is for Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, and Super Smash Bros?
The console looks great but I am still leaning towards a PS4 at this time... Hopefully once I get some money I will be able to buy both, but I don't want to be wasting my money

Well I like my WiiU SC(+)PE, it has far more features than any other Nintendo console ever made. The games I have I do enjoy (BOps2 ZOMBIES mainly...) but next to that the WiiU is a bit overrated. Online on PerthNow today is an article in Tec from Nintendo stating how bad the WiiU has flopped sales wise. I spend more time playing all my Wii games still anyway, very active on W@W atm. Stick to what you know SC(+)PE it will save any disappointment. To own a WiiU is for the die hard Nintendo fans only I think. Me I will be defecting to PS4 in July/August, but will probably still play W@W Wii as I am addicted to it.

I got my Wii U day one, probably not my best decision. Yeah ZombiU, NintendoLand, New Super Mario Bros and Monster Hunter were fun but there's only so much enjoyment off 4 games since November 2012. Still dont see a retail game out that I'm even considering getting. I've been extremely tempted to sell my Wii U over this period of time but knowing that games like Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Dragon Quest Online and possibly another Monster Hunter will release over time keeps me loyal. At this point in time I'd recommend a PS4 (if in stock). I've got my Xbox One and I absolutely love it because...games.

I waited about 6 months before getting my WiiU, ZombiU & BOps2 were the first 2 games I got for it. I have looked at the Xbox One & have decided PS4 is the way to go.

I personally love my Wii U. There have been some definite drought periods and this will continue to be the case but I love Nintendo's games and while they haven't released enough, Super Mario 3D World is excellent and playing The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker in HD has justified my purchase. I love Miiverse and while it's not necessarily a system seller, the idea of Game Communities that people can chat, share tips and show off their achievements is something I hope Sony and MS adopt in some form on PS4 and XBO.
I still very much plan on buying either a PS4 or XB One this year but my Wii U will always make a lovely companion to what ever console I choose.

Yeah I'm also a huge fan of the MiiVerse. I don't think I can drive myself to purchase a Legend Of Zelda game ever again. Too frustrating

I much prefer Zelda without Wii waggle so I know I'm going to be a happy Zelda fan this gen! The really disappointing thing about Wii U is that if you aren't crazy about Nintendo's games, then it's very hard to recommend.

I will have to purchase the New improved Zelda Windwaker some time later in the year. In the meantime I still have my Gamecube version to amuse myself with. Might pull out the old N64 instead & play Shadowman again for a laugh.
